The Mayfield Trust is an independent charity providing a quality service to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs.
Their purpose is to help and support people to have the same opportunities in life that most people take for granted. Like everyone else they have feelings, hopes and ambitions and The Mayfield Trust take every opportunity to promote their rights and oppose any form of discrimination.
The services they provide are very important and valuable for many reasons. They help people to improve their skills and become less dependent on others and self advocacy is encouraged to improve confidence and self esteem. They promote choice, equality and inclusion within the community, working and planning with each individual to meet their needs and acheive their aims.
The majority of their funding comes from the Local Authority and Primary Care Trust but to maintain services fully, they organise fund raising events and appeal to the good nature and generosity of companies and people like you. They are a not-for-profit organisation and all funds received are used to improve the quality of life of the people they support.
